Intro to Pilates: 4-Week Series

Introduction to The MELT Method: 4 Week Series

MELT your pain away! Learn simple self-care techniques you can use every day to make your body feel better and function more efficiently. Relieve aches and pains brought on by aging and active living. Reduce inflammation, ease chronic neck and low back strain, improve alignment, and learn how to keep your whole body working better.

MELT uses soft foam rollers and small MELT Hand and Foot Balls to rehydrate the connective tissue throughout your body and make your muscles and joints happy! The MELT Method® is an innovative science-based self-treatment program that’s being taught in some of the country’s most prestigious health and fitness centers – now offered in our very own Bernal Heights, San Francisco!

Prerequisites: Open to all levels & abilities – no previous MELT or Pilates experience is necessary. You must be able to get up and down from the floor. You should be able to lie down on the floor without too much pain. If these limitations are present for you, we kindly ask that you start with some MELT private sessions before joining a group, or, give us a call.

Space is limited to just 8 students in each series.

Rollers and mats will be provided during class.

Abs & Buns: 6-Week Series

Back by popular demand, join the talented & delightful Janine Fondiller for a body transforming 6-week series focused on our fine friends, the abs & glutes (buns)!

Abs and Glutes are some of the most popularly requested muscle groups to address in Pilates sessions. And with good reason! Long and strong abdominals and glutes are essential for efficient, powerful movements. The glutes and abs play a key role in proper gait and optimal alignment. Finding how to activate and strengthen the abs and glutes properly can be an excellent preventative for low back pain…not to mention helping you to look good and feel great!

This 6-week series workshop will be fun, challenging and educational.

Prerequisites: This class is not suitable for beginners or folks with injuries or chronic pain. Pilates experience and good body awareness are required for this class. If you are not sure about your level, please give us a call before enrolling: 415.647.CORE

Flow with Props: 6-Week Series

Join the fabulous Tiffany for a 6-week Pilates experience you will not forget. Tiffany is our resident Master of Flow at Pilates Heights. Her classes are so much fun and so creative, you’ll forget you’re working your buns off and the hour just flies by! During the series, Tiffany will introduce a different Pilates prop each week, building on your strength and stamina from the previous week. Sweat, smile, stretch, burn, tone.. you’ll hit it all in this full-body Pilates workout experience.

The bright, upstairs studio is small, but they have all the equipment you could want or need. More importantly, they have excellent instructors
